Appearance: Pours a deep copper brown but looks rich and thick in the glass like a full bodied shiraz. Low head retention and seems quite intimidating, but I slay beer for a living so that will not stop me.Smell: Deep vibes of applesauce from the caramelly malts. My nose is not feeling the hops at all. Clean yeast aromas that are fresh for this lager.
Taste: Caramel sweetness like the smell, but the taste of alcohol is not hidden too well. Still can't reach the hops.
Mouthfeel: Creamy and secretly thick. Carbonation tingles the tongue. This beer is like a full meal almost.
Drinkability: 9.5% abv. 8/10 rating. I wonder how glorious the Triple Bock is...

Jimmy gave me a bottle of this in celebration of our brewing activities last night, and I'm really enjoying it right now. Dominating caramel sweetness indeed, along with a great feel, makes this one of the best Sam Adams I've had. Of course, I haven't had the Utopias yet...
Tastes like a well aged and deep passionate Ocean Spray 100% Cranberry juice with a full body and sweet malts. Difficult for me to drink more than one but a perfect closer for the first night of the work week.
